1) Fox Sports is becoming another ESPN. The games they want all involve AFC or NFC East teams. Last week was Chicago-New England, this week is Dallas-NY Giants on the 17th it's Philly-NY Giants. Ho hum. BTW please dump Joe Buck, a mediocre announcer in football to say the least. Aikman isn't anything special other than the fact that he won 3 Super Bowls in Dallas.

2) Women sports reporters make me uncomfortable. Either they're AA hires or they're really attractive and you forget about sports.

3) Why do these people who board the bus think they're at Starbucks? Someone yesterday stopped my bus for two minutes to bug the Bus Driver for directions after she had already asked him before she got off of the bus. This is pathetic. Narcissism and the tyranny of the minority rule the day.

I heard on Michael Savage's show that the government forced the US Mint to re-print money to accomodate the blind. While we can emphathize with the plight of the blind and less fortunate, the fact is that we can't bend over backwards for every little grievance and inconvenience.

letter to Joe Cowley of Chicago Sun-Times

With respect to the AL MVP voting, here's a letter I wrote to the guy who voted Jeter 6th on his ballot, costing him the MVP.

Dear Joe,

My name is Josh Normand. I moved to Chicago from New York a few years ago.
I have a different take on this MVP vote.

Imagine it's the year 2021 and the HOF vote is in. Derek Jeter retired in 2016 with a .310 BA and 3300 hits and 5 world titles and no MVP. How do you feel about his HOF candidacy? Is it weakened if he doesn't win an MVP? Does his WS MVP and All Star Game MVP make up for his lack of a regular season MVP?

For the record, in the last 12 years, only TWICE has a Yankee or Red Sox won the MVP, 1995 it was Mo Vaughn and last year it was Alex Rodriguez. So if the Yankees and Red Sox are dominating, it's not in MVP awards.

Nine other MVP's are from the AL West, Juan Gonzalez (96 & 98), Grifffey (97) Ivan Rodriguez (99) Jason Giambi (00) Ichiro Suzuki (01), Miguel Tejada (02), Alex Rodriguez (Texas, 03) and Vladimir Guererro (04).

Will the Hall of Fame be cheapened by controversial choices for ROY and MVP?

Awards worthless

For a number of years I looked forward to the announcements of the MVP of the MLB, NFL, and NBA. After today, I no longer look forward to it. In my opinion, the only reasons why Morneau won the AL MVP over Jeter were a) because he had better power numbers/counting stats (HR, RBI) and b) anti-New York sentiment.

One: I find it fascinating and hypocritical that the same sports media that jumped on Limbaugh for his comments on McNabb are the same ones who adore Steve Nash and voted unanimously for him to win the MVP in the NBA when Clearly Kobe or LeBron deserved it. There's an article on Donovan McNabb in this week's Sports Illustrated about how he is constantly criticized dating back to when he was drafted in 1999, ED Rendell, the Democratic Mayor of Philly at the time, criticized him, then we had the McNabb-T.O. controversy last year.

The same people who accuse conservatives of racism are the same people who give us Eckstein, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

Make up your mind, if you're a liberal, be a 100% liberal.

Two: In the NFL, if you're team has no offensive stars, you will NOT be on TV. Why are the Chargers on NBC this week instead of the Ravens. LaDanian Tomlinson and Phillip Rivers.

Well the thing is that Indy is the Number one team after beating the Patriots in Foxboro, Massachusetts on Sunday night, 27-20. As much as I dislike Peyton Manning, I think that his team is the team to beat in the AFC.

Seattle had a good win on Monday which I missed because I was at a Jewish community function.
