Mazel Tov

I want to wish my brother and sister-in-law a Mazel Tov on the bris of their son (and my nephew) Naftali on Monday. It was a nice bris. One of the reasons why I haven't been blogging as much is because of the holiday of Passover and going to New Jersey for a few days.

In any event, the weather was decent in New Jersey and it was nice to see the family and extended family. May there be more occasions to meet for simchas.

Mr. Normand-Mazal Tov on this Simcha.

And another Mazal Tov is in order!

Chuck Baldwin has secured the presidential nomination of the Constitution Party last weekend. Authentic conservatives should rally to Chuck's banner. We need a real choice in November.

WRPN, thanks for the mazal tov on the personal matter.

With respect to Chuck Baldwin, I will consider him strongly. I can't see McCain getting more than 42% of the vote in Illinois, even if Obama loses to Hillary. State is too Democratically entrenched.

In 2006, I voted for Randy Stufflebeam for Governor because I was unhappy with Judy Baar Topinka who was somewhat responsible for the rout that Obama had over Keyes. Stufflebeam is part of the Constitution Party.

Anyway, shabat shalom. I may pop up at Ohel Shalom (almost used Shaarei Mizrah, old name).

Thanks Moshe, his name is Naftali Meir Avigdor. You can tell this to Yaakov and Orah and your aunt and uncle of course.

WRPN,

I just signed up to receive Chuck Baldwin's columns that are biweekly.

Since you've lived in Illinois longer than I, maybe you can explain how come the IL GOP is so squishy? I heard that the GOP controlled the governor's mansion in Springfield for a good part of the 80's and 90's.

Who would want to be a blue-blood Republican when he or she could be a part of the Blaggo and Daley machine?

Have a good day and belated Chodesh Tov.
